DJS Inclusion Team

At DJS, we have an Inclusion Team with the following members: Mrs Ryan (Deputy Headteacher), Miss Grogan (SENDCo), Mrs Smith (Learning Mentor and Pastoral Manager (part-time post)) and Mrs Hart (Emotional Wellbeing Support Assistant). Mrs Smith and Mrs Hart are also accredited Trauma Informed Practitioners (TISUK). The Inclusion Team meet every fortnight.

The Inclusion Team offer a variety of support - this could include signposting you and/or your child to services or agencies to help you; offering your child a place in an intervention group within school (which could be, but is not limited to, ELSA support, Forest School, nurture, lego therapy), inviting you to a Team Around the Family (TAF) meeting or offering parenting support / classes.) You can access the Inclusion Team by making a referral for your child. Within this referral you will be asked to include your views about your child’s strengths, interests and concerns.
