KS2 Teaching and Learning Assistant

Overview

Dronfield Junior School is a happy, inclusive school at the heart of our community which works in collaboration with the Partnership of Dronfield Schools (PODS).  We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic, hard-working and inspiring Key Stage 2 Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our friendly school, from January 2025

The appointment is for a full time Key Stage 2 Teaching and Learning Assistant from January 2025 - 31st August 2025.

We are looking for a Teaching and Learning Assistant to work 30 hours per week per annum.  The post will be a mixture of General and SEND 1:1 support as decided by the Year Group Team Leader, Headteacher, SENDCO and/or Deputy Headteacher.

We are looking for a willing, cheerful personality who has patience and is eager.  Any previous experience of working in schools with children, and knowledge or experience of working with children and those with additional needs is a distinct advantage. In addition, the role will require the person to cover at break times and 30 minutes at lunch time as well as during lesson time.

The post holder must carry out her responsibilities within the guidelines of the Derbyshire County Council agreed framework and the Education Act 2002, with particular regard to the regulations made under sections 133 and the statutory responsibilities of the Governing Body of the school.
